Review :

This is by far the most excellent reference book about the history of writing in Indonesia-Malaysia. This book is considered rare as it's out of print. It was published in 1996 and one of the most sought reference book.  This book covers all aspect of Indonesian writing tradition in details and most pages are well illustrated and colored photos. Scholars & experts combined their research & findings into this 297 pages giant book.
This is the first place I will go should I need any info on Malay manuscripts.
Today you can still find some of these books in Amazon.com
