Ancient Artifact Review 81 : Antique Papan Gendeng of Malay Traditional House Kuala Kangsar ( 19th Century)


This is a piece of carved wood called Papan Gendeng used as part of a Malaysian traditional house. It was placed normally above a window or a door. Apart from beautifying the house, it also serves as a ventilation.
This Gendeng is beautifully carved in foliage motif and from 19th Century.

It has a dimension  of 600 x 200 mm.
